In 1976, Tim Norder saw how rapidly production agriculture was changing – including the increasing complexity farmers faced in determining their seed and crop protection choices.

Despite a growing trend toward large-scale consolidated cooperatives and national retail chains, Tim believed farmers would embrace a local independent supplier who would compete by focusing only on crop inputs, providing exceptional personal service and fairly priced products.

Given that belief, Norder Supply began operations from a shed on the family farm south of Bruning, Nebraska.

As the reputation for local service grew, so did the business itself.

Norder Supply moved its operations to downtown Bruning and began a sequence of rapid growth, adding additional facilities in Nebraska and Kansas.

The vision that farmers would embrace an independent, locally owned provider of crop protection products and services proved to be true in 1976 and remains a model for its continued growth and success 45 years later.
